Mt Adams Pilgrim Chapel is a 401(c) 3, tax exempt entity. Congregants are encouraged to be generous in giving to the work of the church and to our ministries to the neediest amongst us.
The Congregation’s sole income is derived from offerings made on Sundays, with lesser amounts from wedding fees and fundraising events. The budget is small and frugally managed. There is no Trust or Foundation.
A member of the congregation who is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accounts for and manages monies for the congregation. Neither the Pastor nor others than the Treasurer and Executive Committee have access to giving records.
The Meetinghouse (Early American name for worship site in our tradition) is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is lovingly appreciated and maintained by the congregation. Of course, significant sums are required to properly maintain such a facility.
In addition to regular giving, some persons give appreciated stock from time to time.
All contributions by congregants and friends are welcomed!
